"Lutz gonna go to hell with a ham under each arm."--Risa
Burned, looted, and sold. This was the fate of Lutz’s Meat Market after the 1968 riots. In Two Trains Running, Lutz is an unseen white business owner who denies Hambone a ham as payment for painting his fence. Now, this storefront’s original name is still visible on the top of the building, but Lutz’s ownership transferred to a black employee, Cal Cunningham, after the riots. |
